Told me everything I wanted to know in these areas. Smaller and lighter than the big India DK book. DK is all I buy if they make a guide for the area I'm in. Probably have 20 or 30 by now. Pictures, descriptions, tram stop info, website reference, phone numbers and opening hours are all here
Just took a trip to India. This book contains all the essentials needed to plan and prepare to get the most of your visit. Pictures and illustrations are wonderfully informative. Get one before your trip and then take it with you. I've used DK travel guides for years - they've always been a trusted and reliable source of information on my journeys.
Warning! This book is outdated and doesn’t capture the reality of visiting India today. Many photos and descriptions are misleading and you are bound to be disappointed. For example, the Old Delhi shopping area is a disaster while the book presents it as a great bazaar.
Nothing deep and behind back alleys, but covers all the main hot spots very well and as with any DK, the graphics are excellent!
Nice book. It looks like it will provide a lot of information for an upcoming trip. I was surprised how long it took to get it. (Over two weeks). It was shipped to me from a book store in England.
My wife and I are going on a 5 day visit just to these 3 cities so this is the perfect book to make what must be well planned because our time is short.The book gives us a visual presentation which will help us choose an agenda where we know we must miss a lot of great places. Very good!
This is a decent guide. The book feels heavier than they say it is, though. Too much to tote around. I tore mine apart and will carry only what I need on any given day. This hits the highlights and is a nice supplement to have when touring historic and other sites.
I've always loved these books from this company. This is no different. Lots of pictures, suggestions, and orthographic diagrams of places to visit.
